Appointments

The NHS offer online services for you to contact us without the need to phone.  Please use the Contact us Online button to make an admin enquiry, raise a medical request, or access online advice.  We aim to reply within two working days.  Alternatively, you can use the NHS App or use your Patient Access account to order repeat prescriptions, get up to date health advice, or view your medical records online.

Who to see at the surgery

When you make an appointment, our Care Navigator will ask a few questions to help find the most appropriate appointment for you. Please answer as openly as possible so we can:

Your responses help us provide the right support as quickly as possible.

Appointment with an Advanced Nurse Practitioner

ANPs are qualified to handle routine and urgent medical issues. They can assess, diagnose, and manage common medical conditions, prescribe medications, order tests, refer you to specialists and provide treatment.

Appointment with a Doctor

Doctors can assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of medical conditions. They can prescribe medications, order tests, refer you to specialists, and manage complex or serious health issues.

Health Care Assistant

HCAs support patients with basic care needs, such as taking vital signs, blood tests and giving vaccines and immunisations.

Appointment with a Practice Nurse

Practice nurses provide care for a variety of routine health needs. They can assist with wound care and minor procedures, take blood samples and perform basic tests such as cervical screenings (smear tests), give vaccinations and immunisations and manage long-term conditions such as diabetes, asthma and COPD.

Home Visit Requests

If your illness prevents you from attending the surgery you can ask to be visited at home.  Visits should be requested as early as possible, the Care Navigators will review the request and if a visit is needed this may be done by one of the PCN Paramedics or a clinician from the surgery.
